New artists space available in Coconut Grove

Here's a great opportunity for artists to have their own studio space right in the center of Coconut Grove.

Dynamo Art Cocowalk, a wonderful, 1800 sq ft, two story venue in CocoWalk, is dividing its downstairs floor into 10 artists studios. These studios will run from $400 to $600 and will include wifi, plus a wonderful exhibition space.

Parking is available. If you are interested and would like to see the space, please contact Lilia Garcia at lilia_garcia@bellsouth.net. There will only be 10 studios so contact her ASAP.

Hopefully after this first phase, there will be more spaces created for artists' studios with corresponding spaces for exhibitions and where the public can come in and actually watch artists work.

What a great opportunity for artists! I look forward to watching the artist community here in the Grove grow. Its an investment for not only the Dynamo people, but also growing the creative and business community here. Bravo! Applying today!

I guess this means they are charging $400-$600 for 90 square feet...? If the total sq ft is 1800 and the lower area represents half of that and they are going to divide that by 10- each artist can have a charming cubby to paint in!

According to Dynamo's website, the location is 18,000 sq ft, NOT 1,800 sq ft. Looks like we have a typo on our hands.

Grapevine typo- if you check the Dynamo website, its 18,000 sq ft total, roughly 9,000 square feet divided up between 10 studios, so, its about 900 sq ft each :

I guess you are not an artist and can not appreciate what a safe space with air conditioning and other creative folks working near you, plus a gallery space in which you can exhibit and build your clientele base is worth. Check out what other similar organizations like the Bakehouse, Art Center S Fl, the Fountainhead in Downtown Miami are charging and providing, then complain. This space can serve as a seed to bring back the artists and the collectors who follow them to the Grove, where it all started. Give them a chance before you beat them up!!!!

I just caught an error in the story, probably my fault...the space is NOT 1,800 sq ft space.....it's 18,000 sq ft space. Each studio space will be about 800 sq ft. Larger than most studio spaces available in Miami.

...went back to look at their FB page. They are offering 100-300 sq. ft. studios for $400 to $600 according to their posting.
