FONFEST; totally eco-friendly music festival

Friends of Nature Music Festival (FONFEST), a new festival, which is being called, "100% eco-friendly," is being held Saturday, August 31, at Virginia Key Beach. It's being called FONFEST for short.

This event aims to raise awareness about the planet through two days of spectacular music, peace, entertainment and a wide variety of activities and exhibitors. While setting the standard by being 100% sustainable in itself, the ground-breaking festival is looking forward to it's inaugural year.

FONFEST is aiming to be the first Carbon Neutral Event to be held in the City of Miami. Created by musicians, artists, activists, scientists, and young entrepreneuers who share a common desire to save the planet and all the amazing animals we share it with. 

“Friends of Nature Festival was created with the idea of starting a movement to raise awareness about our planet and to push major companies to produce and promote more green products. We believe that we can still enjoy the things we love, we just simply have to make sure we are not being selfish with our planet,” says Ines Galindo, 0wner of Eyeness Productions who are planning the event.

Musical acts include Dumme Jungs, Jason Vernau, Bertioga, Luis Ponce Off Orbit, Uma Galera, Dubfx, Locos por Juana, Kings of Prussia and so many more.

Comedians include Brooks Wheelan, Dan St. Germain, Emily Heller, Ryan Stout, Nikki Glaser, and more.

FONFEST will be held November 9 and 10, 2013, from 11 am to 1 am. 2-day general admission is $100 per person; VIP for two days is $300.
