Yogajama for kids at Dharma Studio
They have been teaching yoga for kids called, "Yogajama," at Dharma Studio for the past three years. and recently started offering a special event one Saturday per month called “Happy Hour for Parents, Happy Warriors for Kids."
"Our intention is to offer a break to the parents during the weekend, so they drop off the children for a two-hour yoga class with us while they can have a drink or early dinner nearby," says Andrea. "We have a passionate team of trained and certified yoga teachers for children, teenagers, and adults. We created a science-based methodology to help children and teens learn how to self-regulate and become resilient, respectful and compassionate adults."
Currently, they teach in several schools in Miami, such as Alexander Montessori Schools, St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School, Village Montessori schools, MCA Academy, KLA Schools, L’Atelier School, Vanguard Children’s Academy, as well as sailing clubs, studios, and Community Centers.
The next class at Dharma Studio (3170 Commodore Plaza) is Saturday, November 23 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Tickets are $35 for one child; $60 for two and $80 for three. Tickets may be purchased online here.
