Course to empower reversal of climate change

The Barnacle is hosting a Sustainability and Resilience Environmental Education Program on Friday, December 6 as part of their Earth's First Friday Event.

A women scientists panel with Dr. Tiffany Troxler, Paola Ferriera, Mariana Boldu and Jennie Rogers will moderate a course.

We are on the front line of climate change effects and sea level rise impacts; mitigation and adaptation are both needed to tackle the challenging issues at hand. There is an unprecedented opportunity for change - changes in our professional practices that foster a more resilient future, rooted in science, interdisciplinary team collaboration and strategic partnerships.

This course is designed to empower participants with tools to facilitate this change of mind and undertake positive action toward reversing climate projections; crafting a common resilient way into the future and influence people around them to do the same.

A $10 donation is suggested. Gates open at 6:30 pm and the program begins at 7:30 pm.

The Barnacle Historic Park is at 3485 Main Highway.
