Pumpkin pie featured at Fireman Derek's

The Grove's favorite pie shop, Fireman Derek’s Bakeshop has announced October’s “Pie of the Month.” Join the team as they welcome the autumnal season in South Florida the only way they know how - with a hefty slice of sweet, triangular goodness.

From now until the end of the month, Fireman Derek’s will offer their famous Pumpkin Pie topped with fresh whipped cream, crunchy streusel and drizzled with caramel. The specials don’t stop there, they are also offering a Pumpkin Cheesecake throughout the month of October. The Pumpkin Cheesecake is made with an airy filling perfectly spiced, topped with house made pralines and drizzled with caramel sauce in a graham cracker crust. 

Can’t choose between which pie to take home? Fireman Derek’s also offers a “Pie Sampler." Choose up to six, individual pie selections for $38. For a seasonal sampling, guests can combine a slice of Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie and Chocolate Pecan Pie to satisfy those Fall time flavor cravings.

A “pie shake,” which sounds gross, but apparently is popular, is a classically prepared milkshake with an entire slice of pie added to it. You can turn any of Fireman Derek’s seasonal pies, cheesecakes or cake slices into a shake all day, every day. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. I love pie, especially pumpkin pie, but mashed up in a shake?
