Another one bites the dust
On January 18, 2018, we had a story on Charlie's Woods titled, "Charlie's cottage is saved!" Well, that was short lived. Earlier this week, the cottage was torn down.
Charlie Cinnamon's historic South Grove cottage is a pile of sticks now, most likely awaiting a 10,000 square foot box, which will take it's place.
Another piece of history gone. Good to know the trash bins made it through the demolition.

Ken, were you too busy sucking up to and getting donations from corporate developers ruining the Grove to address this?
If anyone votes for this self-serving political want-to-be in Congress commissioner, shame on you!
This turns my stomach. I am so hesitant to read these stories because I know anither piece of the previous Grove is gone. These developers and "others" do not care about keeping the integrity of what our village was for sooooo many years. Why can't it be stopped???
Boycot the owner, architect, developer and general contractor.
I understand everyone frustration but why is the knee jerk reaction to scream greedy developer. The first person that needs to be blamed for this is the GREEDY HOMEOWNER that sold the property in the first place. Look in the mirror people and ask yourself if someone knocked on your door with a briefcase full of cash asking to buy your house for a lot more then you would ever get if you tried to sell it what would you say?
