This year's Octoberfest will be like Munich in Miami!

As you know, Grovetoberfest is coming back to the Grove on October 12, and the Grapevine is happy to be a sponsor again this year, but if you can't wait until then, the 10th annual Octoberfest presented by Sam Adams is three days - September 27-29 and where SWARM recreates Munich in Miami.

Beer enthusiasts can indulge in free Samuel Adams (with ticket) seasonal brews, live music, beer-themed games, contests and prizes, scrumptious food, and a dog photo booth for your furry best friend! Seasons may not change in Florida, but the Octoberfest autumnal brews will have you feeling like you’re right in the heart of Germany!

This year, the free festival will celebrate a decade of tradition with a bigger and better event than ever before. Miami’s art-filled streets will transform into the largest, over-the-top, German Ale-House, where patrons will feel as if they’ve been transported to a Munich bar. What to expect you ask? The first Breaking The Barrel Ceremony as SWARM declares “O’zapft is” (Translation It’s Tapped) as traditionally done in Munich. A pop-up grand beer hall also awaits featuring a selection of exclusive beers and traditional bites from Fritz and Franz such as Giant Baravarian pretzels, Fine Sausage and Swiss Cheese Salad, Grilled Veal Sliders with salsa - is your mouth watering yet?! In addition, to this spectacular feast - there will be an artisan marketplace, barrel rolling bracket competitions, food trucks, live artists, and a grand photo booth with picture-perfect photo ops.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our tenth Octoberfest," says SWARM CEO, Tony Albelo, “This year marks a decade of the event and we’re making it one for the books with stein hoisting and barrel rolling competitions, prizes, dog park activations, and some of the best food vendors in town. We’re expecting this to be our largest Octoberfest yet and we can’t wait for guests to see what we have in store for them.”

Competition is brewing at this year’s Octoberfest with Brewlympics! Patrons are challenged to partake in a series of games such as beer pong tournaments, beer barrel races, cornhole, yodeling contests, and much more. Beer drinking can also be a workout as guests can join the stein hoisting competition where their strength will be tested as they see how long they can hold a pint of beer in front of them. Last man, or woman, standing is the winner!

Ladies are encouraged to come dressed in their finest beer maiden costumes for a chance to win the title of Miss Octoberfest, an annual costume competition. All games are on a first come, first serve basis. Patrons should plan to arrive early to get in on all of the fun.

This is a family-friendly festival, offering games such as life-size Jenga and Connect Four. Furry four-legged best friends are also welcome to enjoy dog-friendly activities. “We are excited to have the continued partnership with Samuel Admas after 10 years” says SWARM president Javi Zayas, “We look forward to taking it up a notch this year from the beers to having Miami’s favorite German restaurant Fritz and Franz, and an of icial tapping of the first keg which we have never done before!”

The lively experience gets even better with the early bird special: $6 Party Packs. Available for purchase online at wynwoodsoctoberfest.com , the 4-person party package includes (1) souvenir half-liter mug filled with Octoberfest beer, (1) authentic Bavarian hat, (1) authentic keychain, and more.
