Maurice Ferré memorial/funeral is Thursday

There is a memorial ceremony for Mayor Maurice Ferré on Thursday, September 26 at City Hall at 8 am. City Hall is at 3500 Pan American Drive.

Then at 10 am, there will be a funeral mass at St. Mary's Cathedral, 7525 NW 2 Avenue.

In leiu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Maurice A. Ferré Education Fund, coordinated by the Miami Foundation.

Mr. Ferré passed away on September 19. He was Miami Mayor from 1973 to 1985.
