Donations coming in for Bahamas
"I knew this community was ready to help. Coconut Grove is the Little Bahamas of our country. So many Bahamian rooted families and churches. In less than ten hours, we have received so much. Most needed now: Medical Supplies. All city of Miami fire stations are ready to receive donated items," he said.
It's amazing how people are helping out. Many people are bringing the food and supplies that they bought for themselves and luckily did not need. Also, keep in mind Publix and Winn-Dixie always have buy one, get one free items, which is a big help if you are headed out today to purchase items.
Locations in the Grove to drop off the items: Fire Station 8 (2975 Oak Avenue); Christ Episcopal Church (3475 Williams Avenue) and Greater St. Paul AME Church (3680 Thomas Avenue).
