City launches Online Survey on Climate Priorities

The City of Miami Office of Resilience & Sustainability has launched an online survey inviting residents to share their concerns about intensifying heat, flooding, severe weather and other climate change-related risks. Residents' survey responses will be used to prioritize actions in the Climate Ready Miami action plan, which is scheduled for release later this fall.

Climate Ready Miami includes more than 70 actions to improve the City’s resilience against climate change impacts in the years and decades to come. Goals include adapting neighborhoods and buildings; protecting public infrastructure; protecting the waterfront; informing and engaging residents; and using robust data assessments to inform decision-making.

Residents are also invited to attend upcoming Climate Ready Miami neighborhood workshops, where they can learn about climate risks specific to their neighborhoods, and talk with their neighbors and City staff about collaborative responses. Four workshops remain in the series, which runs through Sept. 23.
