An interesting tree idea from the Philippines

A new Philippines law would require all graduating high school and college students to plant at least 10 trees each before they can graduate.

This would be great if we applied this rule to all developers and house builders. Whether they destroy trees or not, they must plant 10 trees (and of course mitigate the ones they kill).

In the Philippines, that would amount to a minimum of 217 million trees planted each year!
