It's time for another Clarington Island Cleanup
It's time for the Clarington Island Cleanup again. Help reduce marine debris by joining the Coconut Grove Sailing Club and the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove.
The cleanup is Saturday, May 11 from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm. They are quite regulated.
Registration is at 8:45.
Launch service to the island will be available after registration and at 11:45.
The event is appropriate for children over 8 with adult supervision till age 14 only if they are wearing a life vest which you must provide. Older children who do not need an adult must bring signed waiver, the link is available when you RSVP here.
Four Community Service Hours will be provided for students actively participating. Please be on time to collect your hours. When possible, the letters will be given on site after the clean-up.
There will be refreshments afterwards. Craft beer provided by the Titanic Brewing Company if you are over 21 and they ask that you bring your own cup and don't dump it on the island afterwards! Additional details will be provided after registration.
