Lokal's Earth Day Celebration for kids
Lokal is having an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 13 from 8:30 am to noon.
It's a special morning of earth-friendly fun for kids ages 3 and up who are welcome to participate in their mindful activities, including seed planting, yoga, and eating delicious gluten-free snacks.
Once your child is checked in, they will receive a popsicle stick with their name on it to be used when they plant seedlings into mini pots. First on the agenda will be kid-friendly yoga for 30 minutes from 10 to 10:30 and then they will move on to planting their own seedling to take home. They recommend planting the seedling into the ground or a bigger pot once growth has begun. Once the seeds are planted they will be enjoying a table full of free homemade snacks for the kids to enjoy.
Tools provided: Seeds, pots, mini shovels, and popsicle sticks.
What to bring: Each child should bring a yoga mat or a towel.
The snack table will be set up with gluten-free chocolate cupcakes frosted and topped with crumbled Oreo cookies, Fruity Pebble crispy treats shaped like flowers, gummy worms, popcorn, as well as a fruit and veggie platter.
