Doing business in Korea subject of luncheon

Timothy J. O’Brien, an attorney and financial consultant will be speaker at the April 4 Rotary Luncheon. O'Brien has worked for 50 years in both North and South Korea. 

He advises multinational and Korean corporations on financing, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and other legal matters. He also advises U.S., European and other international clients on investments and other activities in Asia.  O'Brien is fluent in both written and spoken Korean, having served for over five years in Korea with the Peace Corps. He graduated from Yale College and magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. His wife, Hyon, who is President-Elect of the Bal Harbor Rotary Club, will accompany him and perform a Korean tea ceremony. 

The Rotary Club of Coconut Grove meets every Thursday at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, 2990 South Bayshore Drive at 12:30 pm. The cost of the meeting is $25 with lunch or $10 without lunch. Open to the public.
