Speaking on global grants

Verbeeck
Rotary International global grants underwrite initiatives all over the world that assist communities to rise out of poverty.

On Thursday, February 14, Key Biscayne Rotarian Peter Verbeeck will address the Coconut Grove Rotary about his most recent trip to Ghana where he observed several recent grant projects. Verbeeck will be making a presentation on the RI global grants in action that he witnessed including school buildings, water wells and microflush toilets.

Born in Brussels, Belgium, Verbeeck grew up in the Congo. He attended the University of Brussels and FIU where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is president of Eastern Trailer and Cargo Container Sales, selling, financing and leasing new and used tractor trailers and ocean cargo containers. Verbeeck is past president of the Key Biscayne Rotary Club and Assistant Governor and District Membership Chair. He was named District Rotarian of the year 2017-2018.

The Rotary Club of Coconut Grove meets every Thursday at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, 2990 South Bayshore Drive at 12:30 pm. The cost of the meeting is $25 with lunch or $10 without lunch. Open to the public.
