Navigating towards a plastic free ocean
Ocean advocate Emily Penn will be speaking at Coral Reef Yacht Club about marine plastic pollution.
This event is Saturday, January 12 at 5 pm. It is open to any current US Sailing members. food and drinks are available.
Emily,, a skipper who has spent a decade at sea, has seen plastic polution from the tropics to the Arctic. She'll share her adventures from her latest expedition to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
She'll discuss her insights to developing upstream solutions on land and will help us think about our role we play in solving this global problem of marine plastic pollution.
