A party in the woods
A gumbo limbo, an oak and an orange tree were found inside the jungle.
It's the Grove's newest park is just next to the historic Charlie Cinnamon House.
Stop by and visit at the intersection of Plaza Street and Palmetto Avenue in the South Grove.
Invasive plants such as tropical almond seedlings, air potato and especially snake plant (aka mother-in-law's tongue, aka Sanseveria) have invaded the area. This latter species has deep rhizomes that must be dug up in order to eradicate it.

bruce zanger used to ride our homemade go carts down the hill, had to have somebody watch for cars because you ran the stop sign at the bottom of the hill, had many forts built in the S.E. corner lot,and a big dade county pine was home base for neighborhood chase
These four parcels of public land have been s secret garden for decades. I hope more folks will come enjoy this South Grove treasure.
