A day of service in Village West
This was the scene on Hibiscus Street on Wednesday, as volunteers from Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade (RTMD) helped repair homes in Village West.
This day of service is part of a continued effort to preserve affordable housing in West Coconut Grove.
Over 100 skilled volunteers, contractors and handymen completed major repairs like roofing , installation of hurricane impact windows and doors throughout the coming weeks.
The day started at 8 am and went until about 2 pm.
