Gentrification is changing too much of the landscape

“Little Havana used to be a quiet neighborhood where you could walk down Eighth Street from Home Depot calmly,” the sprightly Pabon says in rapid-fire Spanish.. “Now there’s traffic all the time and cars are clogging the streets. It’s too commercial. What has happened here is a catastrophe. This is no longer for us. We’re tired of it.”

This quote comes from a story in today's Miami Herald about the fast changes going on in Little Havana. 

Sound familiar? I know many people in Coconut Grove feel the same way - development has ruined our quiet village. I know that there are those who like the change and like the increase in their property values due to the construction and new projects.
