Grove Gallery and Interiors is presenting “An Inspired Collaboration,” showcasing canvases by artist Brittenand art to wear by Mi Jong Lee on Friday, November 9, from 5:30-8:30 pm. The event is open to the public 

Britten’s works on display were inspired by Mi Jong Lee’s vibrant and ethereal designs from her 2019 Spring collection.

The 2019 Spring Collection boasts clean lines and silhouettes reminiscent of a multi-layered,
well curated art collection. For Mi Jong Lee the inspiration for this Art-To-Wear show was influenced by renowned American artist Georgia O’ Keeffe. Mi Jong Lee’s credentials include Cornell University, and The New School’s Parsons School of Design, and after a successful retail career that spans 30 years, she founded her fashion house in 2014. 

The brand is designed and manufactured in the Garment District in New York City. The collection is available at Ms. Lee’s Madison Avenue flagship store as well as online
at Moda Operandi and in over fifteen designer Specialty stores across The United States and Canada.

Britten is currently based in Colorado where her creativity mirrors a landscape of emotion inspired by Colorado’s open space. She studied art in the historically rich city of
Florence, Italy where she developed a wide range of artistic abilities as a graphic, portrait, and mural artist.

She found her true expression in the contemporary art world and has developed a unique layering technique incorporating gold, silver and copper leaf, which gives her paintings a luminous quality that ranges from a peaceful feeling to a vibrant zing and everything in between. 

Lasso the Moon will cater the event which is sponsored by Foley and Lardner LLP.
