Introducing our 'new' Starbucks

Not much going on in our little village this summer, in fact, it's downright boring. So I bring you the one bit of news - the opening of the new Starbucks.

It's actually the Starbucks from CocoWalk, but they are are across the street now at the triangle at Main, Grand and McFarlane. I stopped by early this morning.

They're open as of yesterday, Friday, and will be there for a couple of years, while CocoWalk does it's renovation thing.

The new place is nice, the layout reminds me a lot of the Starbucks next to Monty's, same sort of seating and counters and things. It's amazing what they did with that space. You'll remember it was a Coconut Grove Bank branch for about 50 years, and then it was Coldwell Banker real estate after that for many years. According to the sign here, it looks like they think they are still at CocoWalk (I think that should say "Coconut Grove"). That's ok, they'll get the hang of it.

It was nice to see the same friendly staff.
