Masks have been traditionally used as disguises, for performance or protection, and for important ceremonies.
Some cultures have utilized masks as a medium to connect us to our most basic animal instincts, where as others to elevate us to worlds beyond the one we inhabit.
Learn about the enduring practice of mask making; mold the serene face of a Noh Mask (Japanse Opera), or the expressive amorphous faces of Khon (Thai Theater) and Diablada of Oruro (Peru).
