Grove-Key Dems Club meets for BBQ Thursday
The Grove-Key Dems Club (GKDC) meets tonight, Thursday, July 12, for a free community BBQ at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church (3515 South Douglas Road) at 7 pm.
The group consists of engaged citizens helping neighbors in Coconut Grove and Key Biscayne to become better informed regarding the critical political and social issues of our time.
Their goal is to elect more Democrats to public office at the local, state, and federal levels. They discuss issues, meet candidates, phone bank, canvass neighborhoods, arrange campaign events, and utilize social media in support of Democratic candidates.
GKDC meets once monthly on the second Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3515 South Douglas Rd. in Coconut Grove.
Meetings for the remainder of 2018: July 12, August 9, September 13, October 11, November 8, December 13.
Members are encouraged to bring guests and to recruit new members. Members remit a $25 fee annually.
