Miami Beach Botanical Garden to be discussed

Ms. Shapiro is an avid balcony gardener, past president of the Miami Beach Garden Club and past chair of the Garden’s events committee that produced Taste of the Garden, Great Table on the Great Lawn and Ghosts in the Garden. She joined the Garden as executive director in 2015.
The mission of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden is to promote environmental enjoyment, stewardship and sustainability through education, the arts, and interaction with the natural world. The Garden is a unique 2.6 acre subtropical oasis of beauty and tranquility within an urban setting – a community resource that refreshes, inspires and engages its visitors.
The Rotary Club of Coconut Grove meets every Thursday at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, 2990 South Bayshore Drive, 2nd floor, at 12:30 pm. The cost of the meeting is $25 with lunch or $10 without lunch.
