Young Artists' Gallery at Woman's Club
The Woman's Club of Coconut Grove is having their yearly Young Artists' Gallery (YAG) reception on Saturday, March 10 from 2 to 4 pm. The exhibit is open March 10 and 11 from noon to 5 pm each day.
More than $7000 in scholarships will be given out.
For seventeen years, the Woman’s Club has held this annual Young Artists’ Gallery (YAG) that has given over $70,000 in scholarships to winners of an annual juried art show for Miami-Dade County public high school students. Beyond the opportunity to win a college scholarship, the students gain experience by exhibiting their work in a public show, have an opportunity to sell their work to art patrons, meet and receive critique from the artists’ judging panel and win accolades that will support their portfolio when building their career.
YAG engages art professionals, art enthusiasts, local artists and founders of this annual juried show. Club members raise scholarship funds from individuals, foundations and corporations.
