Meeting regarding Marjory Stoneman Douglas' house
Glenn Terry explains it better in his blog here, but basically, Marjory wanted the state to make her cottage a public place. Currently the state is using it as sleeping quarters for a park ranger.
There is a meeting set up by local group "Marjory's Circle" with a state representative on Tuesday, March 13 from 5:30 to 8 pm at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club (2990 S. Bayshore Drive.
The goal is to convince the state into turning the house and grounds into a public space and museum.
