Gas-powered leaf blowers banned in Key Biscayne
Aside from the noise, the village council says that fuel-powered leaf blowers contribute to ozone damaging emissions to the environment.
Electric or battery powered blowers are permitted. And gardeners are not allowed to blow the debris into the storm water system. What about the street or neighbors yards as most do?
When we were kids (back in the old days), we used rakes to clean up leaves and grass and such. We then dumped the debris in bags are garbage cans.

Finally!
Will they be the first to ban horrific concrete park benches as we have all over Regatta Park?
Compost them instead of dumping them as garbage.
Never understood the use of them. You clean one yard and blow the debris into someone else's.
LOL! Apparently the Council doesn't understand that fuel is needed to create electricity. Plus when it rains their is a chance of electocution. Plus the costs are higher. Those folks on the Council are truly stupid.
Hooray. Malibu passed an ordinance in 1993. Hope it catches on in the Grove.
