'Enchanted Barnyard Evening at the Kampong'
"Enchanted Barnyard Evening at the Kampong" is Friday, January 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. It's a fundraiser for Coconut Grove's Barnyard Community Center, a Coconut Grove Cares program.
The Barnyard is a non-for-profit community center in Village West dedicated to building a better community for the children of the area. They provide free after school and summer camp programs for children ages 5-12.
Coconut Grove Cares has been around since 1948, founded by Elizabeth Virrick and Father Theodore Gibson. The Barnyard Community Center opened in 1983.
The Enchanted Barnyard evening at the Kampong will have cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and raffles. Cost is $75 per person.
The Kampong is at 4013 Douglas Road.
