Arguing over the Coconut Grove Playhouse
This guy is in favor of the county's plans. I was against the plans.
His one concern was traffic, he felt that 700 seats would cause too many cars to be coming and going at the same time and that 300 seats is better, he also felt that ticket prices would go up with a 700 seat theater, where I think they would go down because the productions would spread out the costs between 700 people rather than 300 people, but he felt that 700 seats would bring in major productions and that brings the prices up.
So do we want major productions, or second class productions and is parking and traffic a major issue?
I still see this whole thing as an excuse for development, with the theater being an afterthought.

PLEASE Parking an Issue the GROVE IS DEAD AT NIGHT!!!!!!. I am sure all business would like some new night time activities.
Really???? 431 spaces for a 300 seat theater?
Really???? 431 spaces for our neighborhood where at every meeting everyone speaks to "walk-ability and pedestrian connectivity?
Really???? more cars in our neighborhood?
You live here?

I can't agree more. They can have a fancy facade that preserves the historical one (great)but what about the theater..That should take precedence. Give us a theater we can be proud of ( like how it used to be)
