Bird Avenue revamp groundbreaking is Wednesday
There is a groundbreaking ceremony for the $2.1 million Bird Avenue project on Wednesday, August 9 at 10 am.
This project includes newly designated bike lanes, concrete sidewalks with ramps, drainage improvements, road repavement and markings.
Commissioner Ken Russell will be present at Bird Avenue and Bridgeport Avenue, to commence the job.
"The redesign of Bird Avenue has begun. New landscaping will add to the canopy and aesthetic that is important to the Grove. New bike lanes will encourage us to get out of our cars and safely enjoy the neighborhood," stated Commissioner Russell.
