Reminiscing some more about the old Grove
Speaking of reminiscing, a friend sent this in regarding the 3480 Main Highway building. I had mentioned a few of the more current places that had businesses in that location.
"Other notable past establishments at this location were: The original Coconut Grove Realty which later became Angela's Kitchen which even later became Le Pirate a French restaurant. Scissors Wizard, a salon which catered to the stars. The Hippie Tee Shirt factory on the second floor. Most notably was Tuscany, an Italian restaurant which was always packed with theater (from the Coconut Grove Playhouse) patrons early and later in the evening catered to locals who came to hear and dance to Joe Donato and be served by "Butch" the bartender. At the time we referred this area (Greenstreet's, Senior Frogs and Tuscany) as the adult area of The Grove, leaving Cocowalk for the younger generation. Unfortunately the closing of the Playhouse turned this area into a wasteland."

Was the Hippie Tee Shirt the one Blissburger use to own? There was also the Maine Lobster. I just can't believe what is going in there. Aren't the buildings supposed to be stepped back?
