Stuart Sorg memorial service is Saturday

Stuart Sorg passed away Wednesday night. A Navy Seal, protector of Biscayne Bay and the City of Miami waterfront, a civic activist, sailor, diver and Coconut Grove resident and business owner. "Many will miss his quirkiness," said a friend.

His family announced that a service will take place Saturday, May 20 (today) at 11 am at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 2750 McFarlane Road.

He was my scuba teacher and certifier. Really nice guy, very competent. Sorry to see him go. Blessings to the family. Alan

I got to know Stuart while serving on the board of our Home Owners' Association; he embodied what it means to be civic minded. My heart goes out to his family. We will miss you Stuart.
