Bénédicte Blanc-Fontenille featured at KROMA

Bénédicte Blanc-Fontenille
KROMA Art Space and Studios continues to support residents artists with a monthly spotlight featuring Bénédicte Blanc-Fontenille on Saturday, May 6. The evening reception opens at 6:30 pm with performances starting at 7:30 pm. Admission is free.

“From Moi to You," the spotlight performance with Bénédicte and Oscar Fuentes aka The Biscayne Poet, is an expression of love and hope throughout the 19 and 21st century. Let yourself be transported by the rhythm of letters send by Juliette Drouet to her lover, Victor Hugo, read by Bénédicte juxtaposed over the contemporary travails of modern love as expressed by Oscar Fuentes.

Jealousy, passion, doubt, complicity, worship, sadness, all the emotions contained in the word love resounds in this bilinguale performance. The expression of love does not know the barriers of language or time.

Bénédicte Blanc-Fontenille is a French “multi- artist” living in Miami. After her studies at the Beaux-Arts School and the Art Dramatique Conservatoire, she decided to explore different kind of art to express her ideas. She is a resident artist from KROMA Art Space and Studios.

Oscar Fuentes aka The Biscayne Poet is a performance artist from Miami, and the front man for The Oscar Fuentes Combo, a musical project where he blends his original beat-poetry with a Latin jazz fusion band. He is the author of three books of poetry, prose and plays: "Beautiful Women Will Never Know" (2013), "4Nights with Betsy" (2014), "Vagabond" (2015).
