Gifford Lane Art Stroll brings out Grovites

Sunday was perfect for the Gifford Lane Art Stroll - the 19th year!  It was a mild day, usually it's one of the hottest of the year.
But still, the cucumber punch was the hit of the day. Here, Natalie Morales of Dharma Studio, hands out some of the green concoction.
This day always reminds me of a Hollywood back lot, where all the actors come out to play. It's the cast of Coconut Grove all in one place. You see the interactions of the residents with each other, sort of like you would see on a Warner Brothers back lot. All the characters from the Coconut Grove soap opera are here mixing and mingling, drinking green spirits, dancing, talking and we are all out of our usual settings here on this back lot sound stage for the day. It's quite a scene.
I ran into AnnaMaria Windisch-Hunt, down from Lake Worth to visit friends and enjoy the block part. At right are M. Peggy Quatro and Dan Bondroff.
Lorna Owens and Pauline Goldsmith had booths.
This little music fan is enjoying the Solar Dogs who performed along with the School of Rock.
It was a steampunk day, too with Sheri Friedman and Buzzy Darden promoting a big steampunk event that's happening at the Goldcoast Railroad Museum April 8. It's called RAIL, a Steampunk Journey. And this little guy was up for adoption.
