Suburban Chicago News referred to her as "a part of the wave of new pianists with an ability to act the part of a star.”

Roberto Berrocal, pianist
Roberto Berrocal's virtuosity and warm musicality at the piano is well-known to Miami audiences. He accompanies all the artists in the Concert Series, and plays a solo recital every year. In May, 2015 he played Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the St. Hugh Orchestra at the New World Center.

In 2006, Roberto was invited to join the Florida Grand Opera Ensemble as pianist and vocal coach. He also accepted a position at The New World School of the Arts, and became Music Director at St Hugh Catholic Church in 2007. For the 2012-13 season he was Florida Grand Opera's Principal Coach for FGO's Young  Artists Series, and was chosen as the principal pianist for the 25th, 26th, and 27th FGO YPO National Voice Competitions.

He founded the St. Hugh-Steinway Concert Series with Fr. Federico Capdepon in 2012. The series presents concerts in the intimate and beautiful 400-seat St. Hugh Catholic Church. The series presents four concerts per year of vocal and instrumental stars with piano accompaniment, and has built a regular audience of 300-400 for each performance.  The Concert Series donates a portion of the proceeds to support St. Hugh’s Grove Outreach charity, which has provided food and household goods to low-income families in West Coconut Grove for the past 28 years.

The concert starts at 8 pm at St. Hugh, 3460 Royal Road. Tickets are $30 and $45 and may be purchased at sthughconcerts.org. For more info: 305-318-5008.
