BID Board to hold special Zika meeting
The Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID) has scheduled a Zika Action Plan Meeting on Wednesday, November 9, at the Mayfair Hotel at 1 pm. This is part of their monthly BID Board of Directors Meeting.
The meeting is to proactively address this threat with the BID and the offices of Commissioner Ken Russell. They will discuss current steps they are taking to combat Zika. This plan would be utilized only if Coconut Grove was affected.
The Mayfair is located at 3000 Florida Avenue.
On the agenda:
- Introduction of Comm. Ken Russell and Matt Yale of Tusk Ventures
- Florida Dept. of Health presentation by Emily Moore, county Senior Health Educator
- Overview of the BID emergency action plan by Manny Gonzalez, head of the Grove BID
- Summary of measures to be taken
I have seen the draft of procedures, it's quite comprehensive and will be discussed at the meeting. This meeting is open to the public.
