Pilates in the Park offered by Grove BID

The Coconut Grove BID is offering free community Pilates classes, in Peacock Park, they have partnered with local Pilates instructor and certified personal trainer, Rachel Scherdin to offer Pilates at Peacock Park every Wednesday from 6 to 7 pm beginning October 12. 

Rachel, a Grove resident, is an avid fitness enthusiast, Pilates instructor, sponsored athlete, certified personal trainer, and USAT certified triathlon coach. Aligning her love affair with Pilates and her generous spirit, she has created Transition Pilates as a haven for anyone who is enthusiastic about becoming strong from the inside out. Toning, strengthening, and recovering are the fundamentals used to create this intense Pilates

The weekly pilates classes offer a stress-free and scenic outdoor atmosphere.  People under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. All participants must sign a waiver and should bring their own mat, water, and towel. 

In addition to the new Pilates class, The Coconut Grove BID will continue to offer free community Yoga. Yoga classes are led by Dharma Yoga Studio and held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm in Peacock Park and Saturdays at 8 am at The Mayfair Hotel & Spa.
