Miami's own America's best selling author Brad Meltzer shares his newest book, The House of Secrets at an event at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Wednesday, September 28 at 7:30 pm. Brad will read excerpts from the book and have a book signing afterwards.
  
Bring children's books with you to the reading and donate them for Read To Learn Books for Free. Help fill 40 bookshelves - at WIC offices (health program for women and children), juvenile justice centers and community centers, with free books for children. They'll catch you in action as you drop your books into the book bin, and they'll tag your donation to #miamireads and #miamibookfair.

The Grovey Coconut Grove/Miami Children's SCBWI Critique Group meets on Tuesday September 6, from 6-8 pm. Please bring notebook and pen with you. Also please bring copies of your work to share. This meeting is open to both children book writers and illustrators.

At this meeting they will be doing both the above, and we will also be working plot points.
