Leash 101 dog training at Peacock Park

Join Dogtown for an afternoon of fun in Peacock Park with a Leash 101 training session. This event is Tuesday, July 12 from 6 to 7 pm. It's a 30 minute lesson for a small group of Grovites. You're invited.

Dog trainer Franco of Balanced Paws will guide you through this introductory lesson with basic and easy to understand methods. Learn to curb pulling, jumping or other basic walk nuisances. Class is open to well behaved dogs on short (non-retractable) leashes. Martingale, slip leads or chain collars are recommended.

This session will help you and your furry family member enjoy your walks without the pulling of the leash and more. Space is limited so RSVP for this event is a must. To learn more about this event and to RSVP: Click here.

There is no reason for pet owners to impose upon the rest of our community. Let them keep their dogs on their own property, in their house and backyard. No need to deposit their poop, urine flees and yapping in our public spaces, on our streets and in our parks.

Flees? I do agree with you but, realize it is a impossibility. Perhaps a class like this will teach the owners to use short leashes and stay on the sidewalks where available. I hope the next class will be Strollers 101.
