101 Reasons to Go Vegan
James Wildman meets students after a recent class. |
"Although I am still not an 'expert' in any field, nor will I ever be, I feel that humane education is not only valid in the classroom, but pivotal in creating a more humane world. And today I take that message into the classroom. As the Humane Educator for the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida, I talk to students about our perceptions of animals and how we can live more compassionately towards them, each other, and the earth. Had it not been for the Institute for Humane Education – and a social experiment gone wrong – I would not have had this wonderful opportunity," says James.
The event is at 7 pm, Choices is located at 2895 McFarlane Road.

On average, a vegan, a person who doesn't eat meat or dairy, indirectly consumes nearly 600 gallons of water per day less than a person who eats the average American diet.
Repeat, please explain, 600 gals daily!?
Believe it or not 1 pound of beef requires 1,799 gallons of water, which includes irrigation of the grains and grasses in feed, plus water for drinking and processing.
Got it Craig, thanks, Jobie Steppe
