Meeting about historic designation for the Grove
There is a Miami 2030 Historic Preservation subcommittee meeting on Tuesday, May 24 at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival office. The meeting is from 6:30 to 8 pm.
Please come prepared with your specific ideas on how to make historic designation an attractive option for property owners including:
1. Proposals for incentives.
2. How can the permitting process for historically designated homes be streamlined?
3. How can enforcement be increased?
4. City Policies (ordinances) improved?
5. Administrative procedures improved?
The Arts Festival office is at 3390 Mary Street, in the Mayfair Atrium, by the bull sculpture.

I don't know what good historic designation is. The E.W.F. Stirrup House has had historic designation for many years.
It is currently being replaced 100% by a replicate, a story published on my NOT NOW SILLY blog today.
