Joshua's Heart Foundation is holding the Superheros of Service Awards on Saturday, April 9 at Ransom Everglases (3575 Main Highway). WSVN 7's news anchor Lorena Estrada is the emcee.

Joshua's Heart's goal is to end world hunger. Joshua’s Heart has five core values: Community, Awareness, Volunteerism, Education and Resources. According to recent reports, one in seven households are affected. Children are 24 percent of the US population, but make up 32 percent of Americans living in poverty.

Joshua Williams came up with the idea of helping the hungry nine years ago, when he was five-years-old. The project has grown lots since then. The organization has food drives, does food distribution through groceries and farm share, provides concerts for the elderly, has a share-a-meal campaign and so much more. All the details can be seen here: joshuasheart.org

Tickets are $150 for adults, $60 for children of a family package (two adults, one child) is $300. They may be purchased here: joshuasheart.org/tickets
