Donating for a good cause

Many of you like The Barnacle story I posted yesterday, I got a lot of emails, you all loved the part about Arva Moore Parks saving the grounds and the house from development. 

The Commodore's birthday party is April 3 and all money raised goes back into the upkeep of the old house. The property is a state park but each year, the state cuts back funds more and more so it's important that money be raised to fill in the gaps.

You can help by donating something for their silent auction, which is a big part of the birthday celebration. I donate items every year and it helps the cause.

If you have anything you would like to donate - books, jewelry, a trip(?), restaurant gift cards, piece of art, etc, please contact me at the Grapevine and I'll pass on your info to The Barnacle and they'll contact you and arrange to pick up the item(s).
