Annual Young Artists Gallery at Woman's Club

The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove will host its 14th Annual Young Artists' Gallery (YAG) March 11-13 at its Clubhouse located at 2985 S. Bayshore Drive. This annual juried Art Show showcases the art of Miami-Dade County Public High School students and will award more than $7,000 in scholarships to talented young artists and teachers in our community. Many of the students whose work will be exhibited may go on to become the future artists of tomorrow.  

The Preview Reception and Awards Party is open to the public on Friday, March 11, 6:00 to 8:00 pm and the Art Show will run throughout the weekend Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13 from noon to 5:00 pm. Bring your family and friends and be part of this growing cause. This event is made possible by the generous support of The Korth Family Foundation, Coconut Grove Bank, Judy Orr, Dolly MacIntyre, Lina Duque and The Joyce Pippo Memorial Fund and friends of the Woman’s Club.

Emily MacDonald-Korth and Christine Rupp will judge approximately 180 works of art. Emily MacDonald-Korth is a modern and contemporary art research specialist working in art conservation and preservation, fine art and collections consulting, and historic paint analysis. MacDonald-Korth has worked on conservation and technical art history projects across the United States, in China, and in Italy.  Christine Rupp formerly Coral Gables Museum Director now with Dade Heritage Trust. which is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of historic sites, is the latest art Patron to sit on the Judges panel.
