Spasso is now open for Sunday brunch

In their first month of opening, Spasso has become a Grove regular for so many. Now they will introduce an Italian feast to remember that will highlight cuisine true to Italian roots. Their new Sunday brunch, combines a tropical oasis and Mediterranean elegance, guests can enjoy brunch at the outdoor terrazza or indoors for a more traditional ambiance.

Guests can start their Sunday celebration with a wide selection of breakfast themed appetizers including vibrant salads, pastries, antipasto, charcuterie and design their own eggs or visit the carving station. Main courses will be chosen from a menu with a variety of traditional dishes including Penne Amatriciana in a Pancetta Basil Infused Tomato Sauce, Baked Eggplant Parmigiana with Roasted Chicken Breast, Braised Short Ribs decadently paired with “truffled” mashed potatoes and Oven Roasted Grouper with Sicilian capers and baby spinach.

As a grand finale, a spread of endless decadent sweets can be chosen for the perfect ending. Brunch will take place every Sunday from 11:30 am – 3 pm and costs $36 per adult which also includes one mimosa; children under the age of 12 are $25 each.

Spasso is located at 3540 Main Highway.

I hosted a lunch there last Sunday, for 16 people. The food was excellent and perfectly reasonable price for the quality. Some had 'four cheese' pasta and went to heaven on the sauce.

So as a result I felt it useful to objectively point out that our experience, at least, based on 16 people, was universally positive. We did eat outside, which has to be said, whilst the interior remains a bit cold is my preferred option.
