Live music is a big part of the Grove Arts Festival

The London Souls
Through its partnership with the Miami New Times, the 53rd annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival has a great weekend line-up for its main stage at Peacock Park that includes a blend of groups touring nationally along with regional headliners and popular local acts.

Headlining Saturday’s performances is Nth Power, a powerhouse quartet whose sound combines funky soul, rock, R&B, jazz, Gospel, folk and World Beat. The group’s many influences range from Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind & Fire and Sly Stone to The Roots, Maxwell and Steely Dan.

Also performing on Saturday is The London Souls, a New York City-based rock band comprised of Tash Neal and Chris St. Hilaire. The band’s celebrated sound and spirit draws significant influence from the driving force of such British rock pioneers Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Hollies.
Sunday’s line-up features Larkin Poe, a female duo comprised of two sisters from Atlanta whose American Roots sound is defined by strong southern harmonies, heavy electric guitar riffs and slide guitar. The sisters, Rebecca and Megan Lovell, have toured as back-up musicians for such notable bands as Elvis Costello, Conor Oberst and Kristian Bush of Sugarland.  An interesting twist to their Arts Festival appearance is that the duo are decedents of tortured artist and creative genius Edgar Allen Poe.

Finally, headlining Monday’s performances will be Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated Locus Por Juana bringing their distinct sound defined by musical influences from Miami and the Caribbean islands including Reggae, Raggamuffin, and Dub from Jamaica along with Hip-Hop, Rock and Funk.
In addition to the above headlining acts, the complete CGAF Main Stage lineup includes:
