Coconut Groves ability to beat out Sunset Harbor doesn’t seem like much of an accomplishment to brag about. Perhaps with a more respect for our history, waterfront, artists, architecture, vegetation, parks and characters we may even be able to set the bar a bit higher.

Jeez, even when we win people complain. Well judging by the voters, it seems at least most of us love Coconut Grove!

James, you're so right "JEEZ". The fact is the Grove is just as good, if not better than it has ever been since Miami became civilized. If you like the old Grove environment, then create one for yourself wherever your reside and don't go anywhere where you never sense anything but that old Grove feeling. Get some pot, a case of beer, ask some folks over who could bring their musical instruments and get with it! Or enjoy the modern Grove, which certainly has the old Grove mentality and the goods, services & mentality to satisfy your needs for the old Grove mentality, or go to a park, or some local bar, or walk the path along the bay or get a small vessel and get out on the bay, catch a few lobster, snapper or grouper, enjoy the breeze, look up at our blue sky's "but not today" or just walk our tree lined back neighborhoods and talk to a few folks. After all the Grove is presently designated a "UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT" by the State of Florida. Jobie Steppe
