The next FAM Night (Fashion + Art + Music) is Saturday, January 2.
If you are still in a partying mood after New Year's eve, stop by the Grove for some fun from 6 to 9 pm when the monthly event kicks in.
Start your evening
with a complimentary glass of Prosecco at Hair
by Hisham on Main and McFarlane and view art work displayed by Ana Rossi., then swing around the corner
to Pages Bookstore on McFarlane Road, who will also
host four local artists (Natasha DeVictoria, Giles Neale, Emmett Moore and Tom
Virgin) and provide live entertainment..
You can hear more
live music at Vino’s in the Grove another hop, skip and jump away, back on Main Highway, where a local band, Peanut Butter & Jelly will perform. And then in front of the
soon-to-be-open Masa Taqueria at the former Jonnny Rockets location, enjoy the Grove's own Campo Deluxe band. Across the street you can
see more live art by David Lavernia, who will be painting in front of GAP at CocoWalk.
On Main Highway, you
can stop by to see Cory Hunter paint with electricity in front of Ramona La Rue. Around the corner on
Commodore Plaza, local favorite Sam Hart Band has returned to play in front of Bianco Gelato and Three Sheets to the
Wind at 33 Kitchen.
Sonesta Coconut Grove will also host an art exhibit in the
lobby displaying artwork by Israel Guevara, along with complimentary light
bites.
The Drum Circle will be out doing their thing in front of The Barnacle from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. Join them - drum along, dance and hula hoop.
The Arts Festival Gallery will not be participating this month as they are getting ready for February's Coconut Grove Arts Festival, which of course turns the whole Grove into one big gallery. That is President's Day Weekend - February 13 through 15. The St. Stephen's Art Show is also part of that holiday weekend.
