The dark Christmas tree in the center of town

I'm thinking CocoWalk needs to light their Christmas tree.

I know the tree lighting ceremony was postponed from Saturday, even though many of us showed up in the rain for the lighting. But it's Wednesday already and half a week has gone by and all we see is this big black hole in the streetscape. Is it smart for retail location to have the tree up but not lit during these crucial shopping weeks in December?

They should have just lit the tree on Saturday no matter who was there. If you light a tree in the rain and no one is there to see it, is it truly lit? Yes!

For now, we can enjoy the beautiful tree outside the MCA Academy at the Mayfair Promenade, next to the fountain.
