A Coconut Grove gift card; is there one?
A reader emailed me inquiring whether I knew of a gift card he could purchase as a holiday gift that could be used at various Coconut Grove stores and restaurants. I don't think there is one, is there?
I suggested he get something like an American Express gift card that could be used everywhere. But it would be a clever thing to have a card that can only be used at businesses in 33133. This way local businesses are guaranteed to reap the rewards a few times over due to the one gift card. With the American Express gift card, the user can go anywhere in the world, it is not just confined to Coconut Grove.

Didn't they used to have Coconut Grove themed currency at one point?
Yes Grove Bucks designed by Liliana Dones and a peacock design. way cool. I still have one as a souvenir all the merchants were listed on back.
